Vintage Plaster Human Head Cross Section Anatomy Model

A beautifully preserved vintage Bulgarian anatomical wall model depicting a sagittal cross-section of the human head, crafted from plaster and mounted on its original wooden board. This model dates from the 1950s–1970s and was used in biology and anatomy classrooms throughout Bulgaria.

This piece illustrates the internal structures of the head with charming hand-painted detail, including:

the brain and cerebellum with painted vascular lines

the nasal cavity, sinuses, and throat passages

the tongue, muscles, and upper spine

the ear canal and surrounding tissue
