A wonderfully unusual vintage handcrafted wooden nutcracker featuring the expressive carved face of a devil.
The character has pointed horns, a prominent nose, carved facial details, and a brightly painted red mouth. Its traditional lever mechanism remains functional, allowing the piece to be used for cracking nuts or displayed as a characterful example of vintage folk art.
The nutcracker is in great vintage condition, with light traces of age and use. It would make a distinctive kitchen accessory, rustic decoration, conversation piece, or gift for a collector of unusual handmade objects.
Length: 20 cm / 7.9 in.
