Antique One-Legged Folding Stool

A truly unusual and one-of-a-kind antique folding stool, handcrafted entirely from solid wood. Designed with a clever one-legged construction and a sturdy folding mechanism, this rare piece is a wonderful example of traditional rural craftsmanship. Originally used as a portable milking or field stool, it could easily be carried over the shoulder when folded, making it an indispensable tool for farmers and shepherds.

Its beautifully aged wood, hand-shaped construction, and ingenious engineering give it exceptional character. The folding mechanism works smoothly, and the stool remains in very good antique condition with an attractive patina acquired through decades of honest use.

Today, it makes a striking decorative object for farmhouse, rustic, primitive, or wabi-sabi interiors. It is also a fascinating collector's piece for enthusiasts of antique agricultural tools and traditional European folk craftsmanship.

Condition:
Very good antique condition with normal signs of age and use. The folding mechanism is fully functional, and the stool folds and unfolds as intended.
