Vintage Bulgarian Anatomical Chart 1982 – Autonomic Nervous System Poster

Impressive large vintage Bulgarian anatomical school chart from 1982, illustrating the autonomic nervous system.

The Bulgarian title reads:

„Вегетативна нервна система“ – Autonomic Nervous System

The chart shows the human body together with the brain, spinal cord and the pathways of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Additional diagrams illustrate the effects of these systems on different organs.

This was an official educational chart made for anatomy lessons in Bulgarian schools and intended for 8th-grade students.

The original production information is still visible at the bottom:

Author: St. Kryakov
Artists: D. Kovachev and P. Ivanov
KIPP Cartography – Sofia, 1982
Produced/approved as a teaching aid by SK “Uchtehprom”

The original paper label on the reverse is also preserved and identifies the piece as:

Dimensions:

Width: approximately 60 cm / 23.6 in

The chart retains its original top and bottom hanging strips and hanging cord.
