Vintage Soviet 35mm Cinema Projector KH15/2

An impressive vintage 35mm cinema projector model KH15/2, manufactured in the USSR and originally used in a Soviet-era movie theatre.

This authentic piece of cinema technology represents the era when films were still projected on 35mm celluloid reels, long before the transition to digital projection. Machines like this were essential equipment in cinemas across Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union.

The projector features its original metal pedestal stand, allowing it to be mounted directly on the floor, as well as the characteristic dual film reel compartments. One reel holds the film supply while the second collects the film as it passes through the projection mechanism.

Both reel housings open and are removable, revealing the internal mechanisms. The projector body itself is mounted on the stand with a central bolt and can also be detached.

With its industrial construction, striking blue colour, and strong, authentic patina, this projector makes an exceptional decor piece for cinemas, film studios, galleries, museums, restaurants, or loft interiors. It is a true conversation piece and a rare surviving example of Soviet cinema technology.
