1970s PGH Friedrich Fröbel Wooden Crane Toy

A beautiful and substantial vintage wooden toy crane produced in the former East Germany (GDR) by PGH Friedrich Fröbel Werdau, a well-known cooperative manufacturer of quality wooden toys during the socialist period.

Dating from the 1960s/70s, this piece represents the functional, minimalist design typical of DDR educational and mechanical toys. It is both decorative and mechanically engaging, making it a strong collectable example of mid-century Eastern European toy production.

The crane features:

-Wooden cabin on rolling base with rubber wheels
-Adjustable boom arm
-Rope and pulley system

It is a large and impressive model with great display presence.

Good vintage condition with visible signs of play and age.
