We stumbled upon this curious and unusual vintage find and couldn’t resist sharing it. This is a vintage CPR training dummy used by the Bulgarian Red Cross, likely from the 1970s–80s. It comes stored in its original large suitcase, complete with extra components and full of character.
The head and chest are made of plastic, while the mouth and nose piece is rubber and removable. The entire system is mounted on a wooden board, and the chest panel can also be removed. It still functions — the head tilts back smoothly — and includes an air pressure gauge to measure breath effectiveness during CPR training.
Included extras:
• Extra mouthpiece
• Extra lungs
• Diaphragm piece
• Air measurement device
Condition:
The dummy is in rough vintage condition, with visible signs of age, wear, and damage (please see photos). Despite that, it remains a rare and fascinating piece — ideal as a decorative item, conversation piece, or addition to a medical or educational collection.
