This rare vintage apothecary jar, marked “ROSARUM”, is a beautifully preserved example of mid-century Dutch pharmacy ware. Likely from the 1950s, this large lidded jar is made of glazed porcelain and richly decorated with detailed blue botanical and zoological motifs—including stylized deer, foliage, and floral accents in a classic Delft-style palette.
The word “ROSARUM” (Latin, meaning “of roses”) hints at its original use for rose-based remedies or herbal preparations. Its sculptural shape, ornate artwork, and generous size make it a standout display piece for vintage collectors, herbalists, or natural history lovers.
