Vintage Bulgarian Enamel Instruction Sign – “Hot Surface / Danger”

This original industrial enamel sign was made in Communist Bulgaria during the 1970s–1980s. It features a striking graphic of a hand touching a hot surface with red heat waves above it — an instructional warning used in factories and workshops to indicate danger from hot machinery or surfaces.

Made of heavy metal with glossy enamel coating, the sign is bordered in deep cobalt blue and shows light rust and patina, typical for its age. Its clean, minimalist design is characteristic of Eastern Bloc industrial aesthetics, making it both a collectible piece of design history and a great industrial-style decoration.
