A remarkable vintage zoological teaching model showing the anatomy of a fish, made in Bulgaria in 1972.
The model is crafted from cellulose and mounted on a solid wooden base. It was used in schools and universities for biology education during the socialist era.
The outer panel is removable, revealing a detailed cross-section of the fish’s internal organs, each carefully numbered for reference.
It’s a wonderful example of mid-20th-century educational craftsmanship, both decorative and informative.
The model is new old stock, still in its original box, and in excellent preserved condition.
Only a minor issue: the pins of the outer panel were placed slightly off, which makes it a bit tricky to fit the panel, but once in place, it holds firmly.
Year: 1972
