Vintage Human Anatomy Model of Ear

A rare and impressive antique Bulgarian anatomical model of the human ear, crafted from solid plaster and mounted on its original wooden base. This large, sculptural model was used in early–mid 20th-century Bulgarian biology and medical classrooms to demonstrate the outer ear and parts of the middle ear.

The model has a beautiful, aged patina: warm ochre tones, hand-painted red accents, and the tactile texture characteristic of old plaster educational pieces. It shows both the external ear (pinna/auricle) and part of the carved internal cavity, marked with handwritten lettering. The black wooden base is original and adds to the authentic classroom look.

Signs of age—paint loss, old repairs, and a visible crack along one side—give the model strong character without compromising its structural stability. A true collector’s piece for lovers of early scientific and academic objects.
