Vintage VEB Plasticart Il-62 Tin Airplane, 1970s GDR East Germany Jet Model

Authentic vintage Ilyushin Il-62 tin aeroplane model manufactured by VEB Plasticart in the former GDR (East Germany), circa 1970–1980.

The Il-62 was the Soviet Union’s first long-range passenger jet, introduced in the 1960s and widely used throughout the Eastern Bloc. With its distinctive four rear-mounted engines and elegant T-tail configuration, it became one of the most recognisable Cold War-era airliners.
