An exceptional early European farmhouse bean cutter, crafted almost entirely from solid wood with iron hardware and a hand-turned crank handle.

Most likely originating from Belgium or the Netherlands, this substantial rural kitchen device was once used to slice green beans before preserving them. Today, it stands as a striking example of functional folk craftsmanship — honest, raw, and beautifully aged.

Unlike the common small cast-iron kitchen slicers, this is a large bench-mounted model with a strong architectural presence. The original painted surface has developed a rich, natural patina over decades of use, giving it warmth and authenticity that cannot be replicated.
