Large BAY Keramik Fat Lava Vase 631-30

A bold and highly collectable vintage BAY Keramik fat lava vase, model 631-30, made in West Germany during the 1960s–1970s.

This is a true statement piece — tall, heavy, and visually powerful. The vase features the classic fat lava volcanic texture in deep dark brown and black, contrasted beautifully with a warm honey-yellow glaze flowing down from the rim. The dramatic surface and strong form make it a perfect example of iconic West German pottery design.

The original BAY Keramik sticker is still present, and the base is clearly marked BAY W-GERMANY 631 30.

This size (30 cm height) is highly desirable among collectors and works beautifully as a standalone sculptural object or with large dried branches.
