Vintage Polish Educational Anatomy School Poster

An impressive and highly decorative vintage Polish educational wall chart depicting the human nervous system and sensory organs. This large original school poster combines scientific accuracy with beautiful mid-century anatomical illustration, making it a striking piece for a medical collection, a science classroom, a cabinet of curiosities, or a unique interior.

The chart features a detailed illustration of the human nervous system alongside anatomical sections of the brain, ear, eye, and skin. The original Polish titles “Układ nerwowy” (Nervous System) and “Organy zmysłów” (Sense Organs) are visible at the top.

It was prepared by Doc. Dr. M. Godycki with illustrations by St. Beer and published by Pomoc Szkolna, Drukarnia św. Wojciecha, Poznań, one of the historical Polish educational publishers. The style and printing technique suggest it was produced in the mid-20th century, likely between the 1950s and 1970s, during the period when large illustrated wall charts were widely used in schools across Eastern Europe. These educational posters are today appreciated not only as scientific teaching tools but also as examples of vintage educational design.


The poster remains mounted on its original wooden hanging rails with a metal frame and wheels, allowing it to stand freely and be easily displayed.

Condition

Good vintage condition with visible signs of age and use. The paper shows creases, folds, light staining, and minor edge wear, all consistent with decades of classroom use. The original aged patina adds to its authentic historical character. Please study all photographs carefully.
