Vintage Romanian Botanical School Chart – Conductive Tissue Cells

A rare vintage Romanian educational biology wall chart illustrating the cells of conductive plant tissue (“Celule din țesut conducător”). Produced by Didactica, this scientific teaching aid was used in schools and classrooms to explain the microscopic structure of plant vascular tissues, including xylem elements, sieve tubes, and different specialised plant cells.

Unlike ordinary printed school posters, this piece features a raised three-dimensional relief surface, allowing students to better understand the shape and structure of individual cells. Such tactile educational models were characteristic of Eastern European scientific teaching materials from the mid-20th century.

With its clean scientific illustrations, soft pastel colours, and minimalist design, this chart is not only a fascinating historical educational object but also a striking piece of vintage wall decor for a study, laboratory, classroom, or botanical collection.
