Vintage Leather Wrapped Tiger Figurine

A striking vintage tiger sculpture handcrafted from papier-mâché and covered with painted leather. This expressive folk art figure depicts a prowling tiger with an open mouth, detailed fangs, glass eyes, and hand-painted stripes. Such animal figures were often produced as decorative souvenirs and export crafts throughout the mid-20th century in parts of Asia and Africa, where artisans combined traditional papier-mâché techniques with hand-painted leather finishes to create lifelike exotic animals.
