Pair of Vintage Porcelain Apothecary Jars, Pharmacy Storage Canisters

This beautiful pair of vintage porcelain apothecary jars once served as storage containers in a traditional pharmacy or medical laboratory. Made from high-quality white glazed porcelain, they are labelled with their original Latin names:

Ung. Diachylon – a traditional medicinal ointment once used for treating skin conditions and wounds.
Vaselinum Album – white petroleum jelly, widely used in pharmaceutical preparations and skincare.

These elegant jars were an essential part of pharmacy practice throughout the first half of the 20th century. Their clean cylindrical form, classic black typography, and matching lids make them highly decorative pieces today, equally suited for collectors of medical antiques or as stylish storage containers in modern interiors.

Both jars remain in very good vintage condition with only minor signs of age and use. The porcelain is clean and glossy, the lids fit well, and the original inscriptions remain crisp and clearly legible.
