Vintage Bulgarian School Biology Poster – Moss and Development

This beautiful original Bulgarian educational biology poster illustrates the life cycle and development of mosses ("Мъх и развитие" – Moss and Development). Produced for classroom use, it features detailed botanical illustrations showing the reproductive cycle, spores, protonema, and the development of the moss plant.

Published by DIP "Biological Models and Preparations" (ДИП "Биологични модели и препарати"), one of Bulgaria's leading educational publishers during the communist era, this chart was printed in an edition of 3,500 copies and was designed to be used in biology lessons across Bulgarian schools.

Printed on paper and professionally mounted onto sturdy cardboard, the poster combines scientific accuracy with beautiful hand-drawn illustrations in soft natural colours. Today it serves equally well as an educational collectible and as striking vintage wall décor for a home, office, classroom, laboratory, or natural history collection.

Condition

The poster is in good vintage condition with normal signs of age and classroom use. It has light staining, small creases, minor edge wear, and a lovely aged patina consistent with its age. The cardboard backing remains sturdy, making it ready for display.
