Antique German Botanical Wall Chart – Lemons & Oranges, c. 1900

Beautiful original antique German botanical school wall chart depicting the cultivation and harvest of lemons (Citrone – Citrus limonium) and oranges (Apfelsine – Citrus sinensis). Published by the renowned Leipziger Schulbilderverlag von F. E. Wachsmuth in Leipzig and illustrated by Goering–Schmidt–Bukacz as part of the educational series "Ausländische Kulturpflanzen" (Foreign Cultivated Plants). The series was produced between the late 19th and early 20th century and was widely used in schools throughout Central Europe.

The chart combines detailed botanical illustrations of citrus fruits with a panoramic scene showing workers harvesting fruit in a Mediterranean orchard. It is an attractive blend of science, agriculture, and decorative art, making it an exceptional display piece for collectors of botanical prints, antique educational materials, or vintage interiors.

The poster retains its original wooden hanging rods and canvas reinforcement. It displays authentic age-related wear, including creases, small tears, edge wear, and staining consistent with over a century of classroom use. These signs of age contribute to its genuine antique character.
