Vintage Bulgarian Anatomical Chart Lymphatic System

Spectacularly large vintage Bulgarian anatomical school chart illustrating the human lymphatic system.

Titled „Лимфна система“ (Lymphatic System), this educational chart was produced for use in Bulgarian schools and classrooms. The original label on the reverse bears the name of the Ministry of Public Education and Culture and identifies the chart as the Lymphatic System.

The central illustration shows the full human body with a highly detailed representation of the lymphatic system, lymph nodes, vessels and internal organs. Additional diagrams illustrate the spleen and the movement of lymph through the body.

At an impressive 180 cm / 70.9 in high, this is a particularly striking piece of vintage scientific and medical wall art. The scale, anatomical detail and aged surface give it a wonderful presence when displayed.

The chart is printed on paper with a textile backing, a construction typical of educational wall charts designed for repeated classroom use. Metal eyelets allow it to be hung for display.

It would make an exceptional decorative piece for a doctor's office, medical practice, biology classroom, laboratory, study, cabinet of curiosities or an industrial/vintage interior. It is also a fascinating collectable connected to the history of science and education in Eastern Europe.

Condition

Authentic vintage condition with substantial signs of age and its former classroom use.

The chart shows creasing, wrinkles, discolouration, staining, small marks and general surface wear. The textile backing also shows age-related staining and wear, particularly visible on the reverse.

These traces have been left intact and form part of the chart's history and character.

Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description.
