Vintage Hand-Cranked Grape Crusher, Vintage Wooden Fruit Press

A beautiful and unusual vintage hand-cranked grape crusher featuring a striking blue wooden body and a large decorative cast-iron flywheel.

This charming piece of traditional agricultural equipment was designed for manually crushing grapes or other small fruits during processing.

The mechanism features a large cast-iron handwheel with beautiful curved spokes, a wooden turning handle, metal gears, and a pair of horizontal rollers beneath a wooden feeding hopper.

A small wooden drawer at the bottom was designed to collect the processed material.

The original blue-painted wooden construction, aged metal components, and wonderfully rustic appearance give this piece exceptional character.

Before modern processing equipment became widespread, manually operated machines like this were used for small-scale fruit processing.

Today, this fascinating old machine is a wonderful example of traditional mechanical craftsmanship.

Its unusual construction and beautiful combination of wood and iron make it a striking decorative object, particularly suited to rustic farmhouse interiors, country kitchens, wineries, restaurants, and collections of antique agricultural tools.
