Vintage Bulgarian Carnival Shooting Target, Mechanical Fairground Game

A wonderful and unusual vintage Bulgarian carnival shooting target, featuring a charming hand-painted countryside scene with a traditional house, a rabbit, and a pine tree.

This fascinating piece was originally used as part of a fairground shooting gallery. The target features a circular metal disc in the center, a mechanical mechanism on the back, and a small number display at the bottom.

The original mechanical mechanism is still in working order, making this an especially interesting survivor of traditional Bulgarian carnival entertainment.

The colorful hand-painted decoration gives the piece a wonderful folk-art character. The combination of the little countryside house, playful rabbit, and mechanical construction makes it a highly decorative and collectible object.

The target is made of metal and retains its original painted surface, with considerable traces of age and use, including paint loss, rust, scratches, and patina. These imperfections are part of its authentic vintage character and reflect its history as a working fairground attraction.

A beautiful addition to a collection of antique toys, carnival memorabilia, mechanical curiosities, or European folk art. It would also make a fantastic decorative piece for a cabinet of curiosities, industrial interior, or eclectic vintage display.
