A wonderful and authentic antique German educational wall chart illustrating the cultivation and harvesting of coffee, dating from approximately 1890–1910.
This beautiful historical lithograph is titled "Kaffee" (Coffee) and belongs to the famous Ausländische Kulturpflanzen (Foreign Cultivated Plants) series by Goering and Schmidt, published by Leipziger Schulbilderverlag F. E. Wachsmuth in Leipzig, Germany.
The richly detailed illustration depicts a tropical coffee plantation, with workers harvesting coffee berries surrounded by lush vegetation, tropical trees, birds, and traditional plantation buildings. In the upper left corner, a beautifully illustrated botanical section shows the coffee plant (Coffea arabica), including its leaves, flowers, berries, and seeds.
Originally produced for classroom education in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, these large wall charts combined scientific botanical illustration with detailed scenes of agricultural life.
The beautifully aged colors, intricate illustrations, and impressive size make this an exceptional piece of antique educational history and a highly decorative wall display.
Condition:
Authentic antique condition, with visible signs of more than a century of age and classroom use. There are tears and losses along the edges, creases, surface cracks, discoloration, stains, and general wear throughout the paper.

Despite its age and imperfections, the illustration remains beautiful, with its historical character and wonderful antique patina.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description.
