A beautiful vintage wooden chest from the villages of the Rhodope Mountains in southern Bulgaria, featuring wonderful traditional folk art decoration and authentic rustic character.

This charming piece of Bulgarian rural furniture was handmade from solid wood and decorated with colorful hand-painted floral and geometric motifs. Its striking design features a deep blue background, a large terracotta-red central panel, and flowing symmetrical floral patterns painted in dark blue, cream, and earthy brown. Warm ochre borders and small decorative stars complete the composition.

The front and sides are richly decorated, while the lid and back retain their natural wooden appearance. The chest stands on short wooden legs and has a hinged lid opening to reveal a spacious wooden interior.
